Fire restrictions + active incidents

Source · InciWeb (Colorado)

Baseline

Fire restrictions are common in late summer (typically July–August) on the south slope of Pikes Peak. Stage 1 restricts campfires to designated fire rings; Stage 2 bans open flame entirely. We confirm the current stage with the El Paso County Sheriff and Cripple Creek/Victor district before every guest week.

East Beaver Creek typically runs 8–18 CFS through summer and 4–9 CFS through fall — small enough to wade across, deep enough to hold fish. We pull a live USGS gauge into the journal when the cron is running.
