Trust signal · GMU 59
The harvest report.
We publish our real GMU 59 numbers — tags filled in the field, the honest success rate with the full denominator, no scores inflated and no kills unmade. Andre closes the books each February; the verified report lands here.
Numbers being finalizedAndre is closing the books on the most recent seasons. Rather than post the inflated, denominator-free “success rates” you’ll see on most outfitter sites, we’d rather show you real, defensible figures — so the table below goes live the moment the verified numbers are in. The methodology here is the methodology those numbers will follow.
How we count
What we count, what we don’t.
We count tags filled in the field— animals harvested, recovered, and processed at the ranch. We do not count wounded-and-lost as filled. We do not adjust the success-rate denominator to remove no-shows or weather cancellations. If you booked a hunt and didn’t fill, you’re in the denominator. That is the opposite of how a “100% success” claim is built.
Scores are gross typical green from the ranch scoring shed, measured by Andre within 48 hours of the harvest. Net official scores after the 60-day drying period typically come in 5–8% lower; adjust for that when you read any green number, here or anywhere.
We don’t publish individual hunter names. Hunters who want to be quoted in a year-in-review get a separate ask in January. The harvest report is the operation, not the marketing.
The format
What publishes here.
A rolling multi-year table for each species — bull elk, mule deer, and spring turkey — with the full denominator and an honest line on the season. Here are the columns; the verified rows drop in once Andre closes the books.
| Year | Hunters | Tags filled | Success % | Avg score (green) | Notable |

Caveats worth reading
What the numbers don’t say.
- Success rate isn’t trophy quality. An all-hunts success rate includes cow tags filled in archery on opening weekend. The mature-bull rate (≥6×6) is always lower — we’ll publish it separately rather than fold it into a single flattering number.
- Weather is the variable.A dry September with no early snow is a harder year than a wet, cold one — the country is consistent, the weather isn’t. Read any single season against the multi-year line, not on its own.
- Small camp, small denominator. This is a limited-entry, low-volume operation. A few hunters either way swings a season’s percentage, which is exactly why we’ll show the rolling average and the raw hunter counts, not just a headline rate.
- We don’t rush a hunt to fill a tag. Our hours-per-tag run high relative to the industry. That’s a choice — the point is the hunt, not the box score.
