The 2027 Colorado spring turkey season is projected to run from early April through the end of May. Private-land seasons open a week ahead of public-land seasons — at Elk Glade we hunt the private leased ground starting on the early opener. The south slope holds Merriam's; ranch country, full strut.
Elk Glade sits on GMU 59 — the south slope of Pikes Peak — and runs guided hunts in every season below. Spring turkey is an over-the-counter license in GMU 59 — no draw. See the licenses + draws page for CPW’s current rules, and ask us about landowner voucher availability.

GMU 59 turkey is a private-land program for us. Three-night guided hunts run $1,975 with lodge stay, two-strap calls, and Merriam's-specific decoy work. Spring season only. We do not run guided fall turkey at Elk Glade.

GMU 59 wraps the south face of Pikes Peak. South-facing aspect, three miles of private East Beaver Creek water, mixed conifer to aspen cover, and one of the lowest hunter densities of any draw unit on the Front Range. We’ve run hunts here for many seasons.
